Sri Lanka is an island country located off the southern coast of India. Sri Lanka is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, Gulf of Mannar, the Palk Strait, and lies in the vicinity of India and the Maldives. The geography of Sri Lanka includes coastal plains in the north and hills and mountains in the interior.

​According to the Mahāvamsa, a Sinhalese chronicle written in Pāḷi, the original inhabitants of Sri Lanka are said to be the Yakshas and Nagas. Ancient cemeteries that were used before 600 BC and other signs of advanced civilisation have also been discovered in Sri Lanka. Sinhalese history traditionally starts in 543 BC with the arrival of Prince Vijaya, a semi-legendary prince who sailed with 700 followers to Sri Lanka, after being expelled from Vanga Kingdom (present-day Bengal). He established the Kingdom of Tambapanni, near modern-day Mannar. Vijaya (Singha) is the first of the approximately 189 monarchs of Sri Lanka described in chronicles such as the Dipavamsa, Mahavaṃsa, Cuḷavaṃsa, and Rajavaliya.

Sri Lanka is the best country in the world. It is called as purl of the Indian ocean. Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country. Load Buddha has arrived three times to Sri Lanka. Most Sri Lankan people are Sinhalese. When we consider the hospitality, Sri Lankan people are at the top level. Mostly Tourist foreigners like to nature of Sri Lanka.
